An Educational Mission on N. 8th Street
Children’s Village is a 501(c)(3) non-profit established in 1976 as one of the first industry-related Pennsylvania licensed childcare programs in Center City Philadelphia.
Executive Director Mary Graham and the organization’s board of directors have entrusted their real estate strategy to Gola for more than a decade, through multiple expansions and lease renewals.
The most recent, concluded in May, was for a long-term renewal of 28,000 square feet and a 6,000-square-foot expansion at 125 N. 8th Street. With the expansion, Children’s Village now leases six floors of the eight-story building. The additional square footage was necessary to accommodate classrooms. Rod Neary and Brian Neary of Gola represented the tenant in the lease transaction.
Nationally accredited since 1996 by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Children’s Village is dedicated to educating young and school-age children, current and future teachers, and families of all economic and cultural backgrounds. In 2019 they were named as a Philadelphia Inquirer Diversity and Inclusion Winner in the category of “Outstanding Equality Program.” To learn more about this exceptional organization, click here.
